COVID-19 INFORMATION

Because COVID-19 is a new disease with new vaccines, you may have questions about what happens before, during, and after your appointment to get vaccinated. Let us help you know what to expect when you get vaccinated and know what information your provider will give you after your visit.

Before Your Visit...

Everyone is qualified  to receive a a covid-19 vaccination, call (612) 823-2947 to set up your appointment and you can save time by    pre-registering online.

As always, please be prepared with the proper PPE, such as a mask when arriving at the clinic. And be sure to let us know if you are feeling any symptoms of COVID-19.

You should receive a vaccination card or printout that tells you what COVID-19 vaccine you received, the date you received it, and where you received it.

You will also receive information about the specific COVID-19 vaccine you are being offered. Each authorized COVID-19 vaccine has its own information to help you understand the risks and benefits of receiving that specific vaccine.

If you have any other questions or concerns, we are more than happy to address them with you.

After Your Visit…

It takes time for your body to build protection after any vaccination. COVID-19 vaccines that require 2 shots may not protect you until a week or two after your second shot.

Common side effects may include pain or swelling on the arm where you got the shot. You may also experience fever, chills, tiredness or headache throughout your body.

People may choose to mask at any time.
People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.

Did you know? Payment is no obstacle to getting tested for COVID-19. Even if you’re uninsured, you can get tested at no cost at a public health lab. Ask your local health dept. for more info. Even if fully vaccinated, get tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19. If you’re unvaccinated, get tested if you have symptoms, have been around someone with COVID-19, or have taken part in mass gathering, travel or other activities that make physical distancing difficult.

Worried about the cost of a #COVID19 test? Tests run by public health labs are 100% covered, regardless of whether you have insurance. Uninsured patients may still be charged fees for associated care, so be sure to ask your local health dept. about getting tested at a public lab where all costs will be covered, including associated care.
