If your blood pressure is high, or if you fall into a category with a high risk of heart disease such as a family history, high cholesterol, smoke exposure, diabetes, or obesity, we need to test the health of your heart and cardiovascular system. A woman who has had pre-eclampsia may be at higher risk of heart problems in a later pregnancy or during the menopause.
